Canadian Christmas

A friend sent me this pic of the view from his bedroom in Ottawa.. I've never seen so much snow in my life.. it looks as though you'd just sink if you tried to step out of there!

New Year's was Hotter!!

It's a few days past New Year's, and it's almost midnight on a weekday but I feel I must write this before I forget and get on with the rest of 2006!

Basically this was the first day of 2006 for me. Was up at Lake Macquarie at Zeus' place with friends. Notable events:
1. Cut my left foot in 6 places when stepped on a huge pile or just one huge oyster.
2. Got seasick being out on the ski in chop for 2hrs. Came back to house and threw up - then was fine.
3. Walked into a door at night - banged my head but that was fine. Worse was busting the 2nd toenail on my left foot. Consequence is that cleaning the left foot and bandaging it with 8 bandages takes me around 15min twice a day.
4. Didn't win any of the $32mil NYE Lotto.

Great, got that off my chest - now bring on the good luck for 2006!
